Fresh

Locally Sourced Cornish Meat

We use locally sourced Cornish pork, cooked low and slow over charcoal for proper flavour and crackling that actually cracks. Want a bigger spread? Our feast packages bring pork and beef together for a proper “full plate” buffet.

Happy

Fully Self-Sufficient Setup

We don’t need access to electricity or a kitchen. Our hog roast setup is built for outdoor venues across Cornwall, including fields, marquees, farms, holiday homes and remote locations.

Space required: a flat 3m x 3m outdoor area for gazebo and serving tables.

Taste

More Than Just a Pig on a Spit

We don’t just serve “meat in a bun”. We offer proper hog roast packages ranging from fast roll service to full banquet-style buffets with sides, salads and sauces.

If you want the two-meat feast, selected packages include beef brisket alongside the hog roast so the buffet feels generous and premium.

Experience

Over 15 Years' Catering Experience

We’ve spent over 15 years catering events across Cornwall, so you’re not getting a shaky setup and a guessing game. You’re getting a team that knows timings, service flow, and how to keep things moving even when the weather tries to ruin everyone’s plans.

Frequently Asked Questions about our Hog Roast Services

Q: What is the minimum number of guests required for a Hog Roast?
A: For our full on-site hog roast service (we cook, carve and run the buffet at your venue), we typically require a minimum of 50 guests. This keeps the service efficient and ensures we can deliver the full hog roast experience properly.
For smaller gatherings under 50, we offer our Delivered Hot Buffet option. We slow-cook everything at our Redruth catering kitchen and deliver it hot and ready to serve to your home, venue or holiday accommodation.

Q: Do you provide Hog Roast catering across Cornwall?
A: Yes. We’re based in Redruth and cater across Cornwall for weddings, parties and corporate events, including Truro, St Ives, Newquay, Falmouth, Padstow and surrounding areas. We’re set up for venues with limited facilities, remote locations, private farms and holiday homes across the county.

Q: Can you cater for Vegan, Vegetarian, and Gluten-Free guests?
A: Yes. We can accommodate vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free guests alongside the hog roast. For hog roast feasts, we can provide separate vegetarian main options (for example halloumi or vegetable tagine-style dishes) prepared separately to reduce cross-contamination risk.
If anyone has a severe allergy, tell us at enquiry stage so we can confirm the safest approach for your event.

Q: Do you need electricity or a kitchen at the venue?
A: No. We’re fully self-sufficient, which is why hog roasts work so well for marquees, fields and venues with limited facilities. Our hog roast is cooked over charcoal, and we just need a flat 3m x 3m outdoor space for our gazebo and serving station.

Q: Does your catering quote include staff to serve the food?
A: Yes. We provide the team to set up the serving station, carve the meat, and run the buffet service so everything stays smooth and on time.
What we don’t include is clearing guest tables, collecting plates or handling venue rubbish. We pack down our own station and equipment.

Q: What happens if it rains on the day of our outdoor event?
A: We’re Cornwall caterers. Rain is basically part of the itinerary. We bring heavy-duty gazebos to fully cover the cooking and serving station, and we serve buffet-style from under shelter, so the food service can go ahead rain or shine.

Q: How long does the meat take to cook?
A: Hog roast is all about low and slow. Cooking time depends on the size of the meat and service time, so we plan the schedule around your event. We arrive in good time to set up and make sure everything is ready to carve at your agreed serving time.

Q: Do you provide plates and cutlery?
A: We can provide sturdy disposable plates, wooden cutlery and napkins for buffet service if required. If you want to use venue crockery or hired equipment, that’s also fine. We’ll confirm what you want included when we finalise your booking.
