Cornish pork, slow-roasted over real charcoal until the skin blisters and cracks. Not gas. Not a catering van oven. A live fire, right there at your venue — and your guests get the full theatre of it.
We bring everything: the rig, the charcoal, the gazebo, the carving station. Setup to pack-down is all ours. All we need from you is a 3m × 3m flat outdoor space.
Cornish pork, beef brisket, lamb spit roast, turkey on request. From a simple roll service to a full two-course banquet with gourmet sides and dessert. Delivered ready to serve, or cooked live at your event — your call.

Completely self-contained — oven, charcoal, gazebo, carving station, waste. All we need is a 3m × 3m flat outdoor space.

On-site minimum is 50. Under 50? Delivered hog roast is available from 20 guests — or our buffet range starts from 20 guests too.

Whole Cornish hog brought to the carving station, skin blistered into crackling — the centrepiece of the room before a plate moves.
02 · The carve
Our pitmaster carves to order — pulled, sliced, hand-portioned. Crackling on the side, never on the bun.
03 · The hand-off
Apple sauce, sage & onion stuffing, soft bakery rolls. Guests queue once, leave with a proper plate.

A whole hog, carved live.
Nothing else looks like a hog roast at full carving. A whole Cornish pig, slow-cooked for hours, crackling glassy and amber, lifted onto the carving board the moment guests sit down. That is the moment — and it is the reason couples and corporate hosts keep coming back to hog roast over every other option we offer.
We carve to order. Hand-pulled portions, generous rolls, crackling on the side. The board is the show; the queue is short; the plates are full.
Saltwind came up to sunny Devon for Jo’s 60th party. Everyone absolutely loved the Hog Roast. We had a party of 55 and we were still finishing off the food at 3am. Mark and the guys were great and worked so hard to keep everyone fed. The crackling was awesome! And we all loved the beef as well! Was everything we wanted and more ! Cheers to Saltwind!
