What is the minimum number of people I can order for?

For event and party buffets, the minimum order is 20 guests. For smaller groups, consider our corporate lunch delivery which has no minimum.

Do you deliver to holiday homes and cottages in Cornwall?

Yes. We deliver directly to holiday homes across Cornwall and Devon with everything ready to serve.

How does the food arrive? Do I need to do anything?

Our cold buffets arrive in high-quality, eco-friendly, stackable boxes — ready to serve immediately. Hot buffets arrive in thermal containers, ready for immediate serving. No preparation needed.

Can I mix and match items from different menus?

Yes. We can mix and match across menus. Just tell us what you are after when requesting a quote.

Can you cater for gluten-free, vegan, and dairy-free guests?

Yes. Any menu can be adapted for gluten-free, vegan, dairy-free and nut-free diets. Let us know when you order.

Do you provide staff to serve the buffet?

For most buffets, no staff needed — the food arrives ready to serve. For larger events our cook team can prepare and set out food on-site. Just ask.

Do you offer food for children's parties?

Yes. We offer a Kids Party Buffet from £6.00 per child, Kids Picnic Bags from £4.88, and our Family Party Platter at £9.00pp which combines kids and adult food.

How much notice do you need for a buffet order?

Next-day delivery is available for most buffets — order before midday the day before. For freshly baked items (quiches, sausage rolls, cakes) we recommend at least 48 hours. For large events or busy periods, book as early as possible. Still not sure? Call us and we'll tell you straight.

Where does Salt Wind Catering deliver buffets across Cornwall and Devon?

All of Cornwall and Devon. A small travel supplement may apply for Devon. Cold buffets arrive chilled and ready to serve — no kitchen or prep needed at your venue. Hot buffets come in insulated containers. We deliver to homes, offices, village halls, marquees and outdoor venues.

How do I book a buffet with Salt Wind Catering?

Call 01209 206255 or email [email protected] with your date, guest count and preferred menu. We will confirm and send a quote. A 30% deposit secures your date. At least 48 hours notice for standard buffets, 5–7 days for larger events.

Can Salt Wind Catering provide allergy-friendly buffets?

Yes. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free — all covered. Dishes are clearly labelled. Tell us your guests' requirements when you order and we will adapt the menu.
