Buffets & Pasties Delivered to Your Stand at Cornwall’s Agricultural Shows
The best stands at Cornwall’s agricultural shows have one thing in common: they give people a reason to stop, stay and talk. And nothing draws visitors onto a stand like proper food.
Salt Wind Catering delivers ready-to-serve buffets, Cornish pasties and grazing platters direct to exhibitor stands at the Royal Cornwall Show (4th–6th June 2026) and Stithians Show (13th July 2026). We bring everything to your pitch before the gates open. You set it out, offer it to your visitors, and let the food do the talking while you focus on making connections.
We already do this for clients like Savills — a quality spread delivered first thing, laid out on their stand, available for every visitor who walks up. It transforms a trade stand into a destination. People linger, conversations happen, and your brand gets remembered for the right reasons.
We’re based in Redruth — 20 minutes from Wadebridge and 10 minutes from Stithians. We deliver everything you need. You just need a table.
Why Food on Your Stand Changes Everything
Think about the stands you actually remember from the last show you visited. Chances are, the ones that stuck were the ones where someone handed you something to eat while you browsed. It’s not complicated — food creates a welcome, slows people down, and opens conversations.
For trade exhibitors, corporate sponsors and stall holders at an event like the Royal Cornwall Show or Stithians, having food on your stand isn’t about feeding people. It’s a tool. It says you’re professional, you’re generous, and you’re worth spending time with. A visitor who’s eating your food is a visitor who’s listening to your pitch.
The alternative is a bare table with a stack of leaflets. You know which one works better.
At the Royal Cornwall Show, you’re competing with over 1,000 other trade stands for the attention of 120,000 visitors across three days. At Stithians — one of the UK’s largest one-day agricultural shows — you’ve got a single day to make an impact. Either way, food on your stand gives you a genuine edge.
What We Deliver to Your Stand
Grazing Platters & Display Buffets
This is the Savills model and it’s our most popular option for exhibitors. We deliver beautifully presented grazing platters and cold buffet spreads to your stand before the gates open. Cornish charcuterie, local cheeses, fresh breads, chutneys, seasonal fruit, handmade bites — all arranged and ready to set out.
These look impressive, taste fantastic, and last through a morning of visitors picking and grazing. We use quality Cornish produce and present everything so it reflects well on your brand. When a client or prospect walks onto your stand and you can offer them hand-sliced charcuterie and local cheese instead of a biscuit from a packet, it makes an impression.
We scale platters to your expected footfall — from a compact display for a smaller stand to a full spread across multiple boards for a large corporate presence. Browse our full buffet and platter menu to see what’s available.
Hot Cornish Pasties & Sausage Rolls
For a simpler but equally effective approach, we deliver freshly baked Cornish pasties and sausage rolls in bulk each morning. Hot, wrapped, and ready to hand out to anyone who stops at your stand.
There’s something perfectly on-brand about handing someone a proper Cornish pasty at the Royal Cornwall Show or Stithians. It’s local, it’s generous, and people love it. We supply traditional, cheese & onion, steak, and vegan options so you’ve got something for everyone.
This is also the most cost-effective way to make your stand welcoming. A bulk pasty order goes a long way and the reaction from visitors is always the same — surprise, a smile, and a conversation that wouldn’t have happened otherwise.
Hot Buffets
If you’ve got a larger stand, a hospitality area, or you’re hosting a client event on-site, our hot buffets step things up. Slow-cooked meats, rice and grain bowls, seasonal salads and proper sides — all delivered hot and set up on your stand ready to serve.
This works particularly well for corporate exhibitors running invitation-only areas or VIP hospitality at the Royal Cornwall Show. We handle the food; you handle the guests.
Breakfast & Early Morning Drops
Setup days and early mornings are when your team needs fuel most. We deliver breakfast drops — bacon rolls, sausage baps, pastries, coffee — to your pitch before the gates open. Feed your team first, then set out the visitor spread. Everyone starts the day right.
At Stithians, where everything happens in a single day, getting a breakfast delivery before the gates open means your team is fed and your stand is stocked without anyone having to leave the pitch.
The Royal Cornwall Show — 4th–6th June 2026
The Royal Cornwall Show is Cornwall’s biggest annual event — three days at the showground in Wadebridge with over 120,000 visitors passing through. It’s been running since 1793, and for exhibitors it’s one of the most important trading weekends of the year.
With over 1,000 trade stands competing for attention, the exhibitors who stand out are the ones who create an experience on their pitch. Having quality food available for your visitors is one of the simplest and most effective ways to do that.
The showground sits just off the A39 at Whitecross. Vehicle movement within the grounds is tightly managed during show hours, which is exactly why having your catering delivered early makes sense. You’re not sending someone to queue at a food stand — everything is on your pitch before the first visitor arrives.
We know the showground well, we know the access routes, and we time our deliveries around the vehicle restrictions so everything runs smoothly.
Stithians Show — 13th July 2026
Stithians Show is one of the UK’s largest one-day agricultural shows and it’s right on our doorstep. Held at the showground near Penryn, it packs everything into a single day — livestock, vintage vehicles, live music, trade stands, crafts and a proper Cornish atmosphere.
For exhibitors, one day means every hour counts. You can’t afford to leave your stand to find food, and you can’t afford to have your team flagging by midday. A morning delivery of pasties and a grazing platter means your stand is welcoming from the moment the gates open, and your team is fuelled for the whole day.
Stithians is a 10-minute drive from our base in Redruth, so logistics couldn’t be easier. We deliver before the show opens, you set out the food, and you’re ready to go.
How It Works
The process is straightforward and we handle the logistics so you don’t have to.
You tell us which show you’re exhibiting at, your stand location, how many visitors you’re expecting to cater for each day, and what kind of food you want. We put together a package and a delivery schedule.
On the morning of the show (or each morning for the three days at the Royal Cornwall), we deliver your order to your stand before the gates open. Everything arrives ready to set out — platters arranged, pasties wrapped, buffet items in serving trays. If you need us to set up a serving area on your stand, we can do that too.
We supply all platters, packaging, napkins, serving equipment and anything else you need. At the end of each day, or at an agreed time, we can collect and clear.
If your numbers change between days at the Royal Cornwall — maybe Thursday is a quieter client day and Saturday is full public — we adjust the order accordingly. No rigid packages, no locked-in quantities.
Who This Works For
Estate Agents, Land Agents & Property Companies
This is exactly what we do for Savills. A quality spread on the stand all morning that says "we’re the professionals here." If you’re Stags, Lillicrap Chilcott, Rohrs & Rowe or any agency with a presence at the Royal Cornwall or Stithians, this approach elevates your stand immediately.
Agricultural Suppliers & Machinery Companies
You’ve got a big stand, a lot of visitors, and a team who’ve been there since dawn. A morning delivery of pasties and sausage rolls for the team, plus a grazing platter for visiting clients, covers both needs in one order.
Corporate Sponsors & National Brands
If your company is sponsoring an area or running a hospitality suite, your catering needs to match the investment. Our buffets and grazing platters are sourced from quality Cornish producers and presented to a standard that sits comfortably alongside any corporate setup.
We’ve catered for the NHS, National Grid, Cornwall Council, WWF and Omaze UK. We understand the standard expected when your brand is on the line.
Local Producers & Artisan Stall Holders
You’re at the show to sell your own products — the last thing you need is to leave your stall to find food. A pasty delivery in the morning keeps you and your team fuelled without missing a single customer.
Charities, Organisations & Community Groups
Running a stand on a tight budget? A bulk pasty order is affordable, practical, and gives your volunteers something decent to eat. We can also put together simple grazing options that look great without breaking the bank.
Not Just a Showground — Cornwall’s Agricultural Calendar
The Royal Cornwall Show and Stithians Show are the biggest, but they’re part of a wider agricultural calendar across the county. If you’re exhibiting at multiple events through the summer — Liskeard Show, the Cornish Winter Fair, local village shows — we can package your stand catering across dates and take the whole thing off your plate.
Cornwall’s agricultural shows are a unique part of the county’s identity. They’re where communities come together, businesses make connections, and the best of Cornish farming and food is on display. Having quality Cornish food on your stand isn’t just practical — it’s part of what makes the whole thing work.
Why Salt Wind for Your Stand Catering
We’re not a generic catering company. We’re based in Redruth, we know both showgrounds, and we’ve built our business around exactly this kind of work — delivering quality food to people who are busy doing something else.
Fully self-contained — we deliver everything you need. No power, no water, no equipment required from you. Just a table and a smile.
5-star food hygiene rating — independently inspected and consistently maintained. Your visitors are eating food you can trust.
NCASS registered — members of the National Caterers Association, meeting all mobile catering compliance standards.
FSB members — a Cornwall-based small business supporting other Cornwall-based businesses.
Trusted by major clients — NHS, National Grid, Cornwall Council, WWF, Savills, Omaze UK. We deliver the same quality to a two-person stall as we do to a corporate hospitality suite.
Cornish produce, properly sourced — we use local suppliers wherever possible. When you’re handing food to your visitors at a Cornish agricultural show, it should be Cornish.
Local to both venues — Redruth to Wadebridge is 20 minutes. Redruth to Stithians is 10. We’re not travelling hours to get there — we’re your neighbours.
Corporate Hospitality at Cornwall’s Agricultural Shows
If your business uses the Royal Cornwall Show or Stithians as a client entertainment or relationship-building event, the food on your stand is a direct reflection of your brand. Getting it right matters.
We work with corporate exhibitors to plan catering across the full event. At the Royal Cornwall, that might mean grazing platters and pastries for casual stand visitors during the day, plus a more substantial buffet for an invitation-only client reception.
We scale to your schedule — quieter options for Thursday, a premium spread for your main client day, and a crowd-friendly option for the public Saturday. At Stithians, where it’s all compressed into one day, we make sure everything lands perfectly for the morning.
Dietary requirements are handled discreetly and as standard, not as an afterthought.
If you’re investing in a stand at Cornwall’s biggest events, make sure the food matches the effort.
Other Cornwall Shows & Events We Cover
We provide stand catering and event food delivery across Cornwall, including Wadebridge, Falmouth, Truro, Newquay, Bodmin, and Liskeard. If you exhibit at multiple Cornwall shows or events through the season, we can package catering across all your dates and keep things simple.
Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should I book stand catering?
As early as possible. The Royal Cornwall Show is in June and Stithians is in July — we start taking bookings from the new year. Slots fill quickly, especially for the Royal Cornwall Saturday. Get in touch now to secure your dates.
What time do you deliver to the showground?
We deliver before the gates open, typically between 6:30am and 8am depending on your requirements. Everything arrives ready to set out so your stand is prepared when the first visitors walk in.
Can I order different things for different days at the Royal Cornwall Show?
Absolutely. Most exhibitors vary their order — perhaps grazing platters for the main client day and pasties for the busier public day. We’re completely flexible and adjust quantities day by day.
How many visitors can I cater for from my stand?
From a small stand expecting 20–30 visitors a day up to large corporate setups hosting 100+. We scale the quantity and presentation to match your footfall.
Do you cater for dietary requirements?
Yes — vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and other requirements are handled as standard. We label everything clearly so your visitors can help themselves with confidence.
Do I need to provide any equipment?
No. We supply platters, serving equipment, napkins, packaging — everything. All you need is a table or surface on your stand to set the food out. If you need us to provide that too, we can.
How do I get a quote?
Call us on 01209 206255, email info@saltwind.catering, or fill in our online quote form. Tell us which show, your stand details, expected visitor numbers and what kind of food you’re after, and we’ll put together options and pricing.
