Planning NYE Food That Works
The key to successful NYE catering is spreading the food across the evening rather than one big sit-down meal. A typical timeline runs like this: grazing platters and nibbles from arrival to soak up the early drinks, a main food event around 9 or 10pm when everyone is settled and ready, and then a lighter supper option around midnight for the second wind crowd. We plan timings around your event schedule so food arrives at exactly the right moment and nothing sits around going cold.
The Main Event — Hog Roast, BBQ or Giant Pan
For the centrepiece food service, a hog roast creates the ultimate party atmosphere — a whole hog slow-roasted over real charcoal and carved in front of your guests is a moment that marks the evening. Served with stuffing, apple sauce, crispy crackling, fresh rolls, and homemade sides, it feeds 80 to 200 guests as a single, spectacular centrepiece.
Our BBQ catering gives more variety for smaller parties — burgers, ribs, pulled pork, chicken, and vegetarian options all cooked over real charcoal. Our giant pan catering — paella, lamb tagine, or curry cooked live in massive pans — adds theatre and entertainment value on top of great food. NYE Venue Types We Cater
Village halls are the classic Cornwall NYE venue — community events with a disco, a bar, and food that keeps everyone happy. Our setup is completely self-sufficient so the venue does not need to provide a kitchen or any equipment.
