Lacock village & abbey
Harry Potter, Downton Abbey, Pride & Prejudice and Wolf Hall. National Trust site with strict base rules — we plan the footprint and load-in around them.
Castle Combe
The "prettiest village in England" (War Horse, Doctor Dolittle, Stardust). Narrow lanes and a tight footprint — a small, well-drilled base.
Wilton House
Grand Palladian interiors used in The Crown, Bridgerton and Pride & Prejudice. Country-house base with room for vehicles.
Stourhead
National Trust landscape garden (Pride & Prejudice, 2005; Barry Lyndon). Parkland bases coordinated around visitor access.
Longleat
House, safari park and estate. Large-scale bases with estate liaison; power and water fully self-supplied.
Salisbury Plain
MOD training area — wide open, permit-heavy, period and action work. Self-contained is essential; we mobilise fully off-grid.
Stonehenge & the downs
Monument and chalk downland — a sensitive site. A discreet base set well back, planned with the location team.
Bowood House
Georgian house and Capability Brown parkland in regular period use. Estate bases with easy vehicle access.
How we approach access
Every filming location has its own constraints — vehicle access, pitch size, kit-carrying distance, mains availability (almost always none), wind exposure and landowner conditions. We coordinate with the production location manager in advance on every shoot.
Where the unit can pitch at the shoot point we run the mobile kitchen live; where access stops short we set up a sensible unit base nearby and run scheduled hot-boxed service rounds. Either way the food gets there hot and on time. We travel from our Cornwall base — travel, and accommodation for multi-day shoots, is confirmed in writing up front.
