Christmas Eve Buffet Delivery in Cornwall — What Is Actually Possible
Christmas Eve Buffet Delivery in Cornwall — What Is Actually Possible
Christmas Eve is the night the house fills up. People arrive, the kids will not settle, someone opens something, and the person who has been cooking since the morning is stuck at the hob missing all of it. It is the one evening of the year where the food matters and the cooking is the last thing you want to be doing.
So: a delivered festive buffet on Christmas Eve. Here is what that actually means, including the parts we cannot do.
How it works
We make the buffet fresh and deliver it to your door on Christmas Eve, set out and ready to serve. You keep it chilled and put it out when you want it. There is no cooking at your end and no timing to get wrong.
We confirm your delivery window with you in advance, and we pin two things separately: the time we deliver and the time your guests actually arrive. Those are not always the same, and assuming they are is how food sits out too long. We would rather ask twice than guess.
One thing to be clear about: this is a delivered service. We drop the food and we go. There is no cook team, no one serving, no one coming back to clear. On Christmas Eve that is usually exactly what people want — the house is yours and you get on with your evening.
Where we can get to
Christmas Eve delivery covers TR and PL postcodes only — across Cornwall and the Plymouth area. That is a hard line, not a starting position.
The reason is simple. On 24 December we are running a full delivery day into an evening when every road in the county is busy and every household is expecting us at a particular time. Stretching the radius means somebody gets their food late on the one night lateness is unforgivable. So we keep the map tight and we turn up.
If you are outside TR or PL, we will tell you straight away rather than take the booking and hope.
What goes on it
Cold and finger buffets, or fork buffets if you want something more substantial, with festive additions through the range. It is Christmas food built to sit on a table for an evening and be picked at by people who are not sitting down properly — because on Christmas Eve, nobody is.
Dietary requirements are built in rather than bolted on. Tell us the breakdown when you book and everything comes labelled, so the vegan in the room does not have to interrogate every dish on Christmas Eve.
On allergens we are honest: our kitchen handles nuts and gluten. For preferences that is no issue. For a severe allergy we will tell you plainly what we cannot guarantee.
What about Christmas Day itself
Different thing, and worth not confusing. The Christmas Eve buffet is delivered on the 24th for you to serve that evening. If what you want is Christmas dinner on the 25th without cooking it, that is our Christmas Day heat-at-home box — delivered on Christmas Eve, in your fridge overnight, heated on the day.
For a cook team on site on Christmas Day, ring us. Availability is very limited and we will be honest about it on the phone.
When to order
Early. Christmas Eve delivery slots are limited and they fill through December — it is a single evening with a finite number of drops in it, so it is the first thing to go.
Christmas ordering closes on 15 December 2026. Do not read that as the date to aim for; read it as the date after which we cannot help. Christmas Eve itself is usually gone well before then.
