Praa Sands is a mile of pale Atlantic sand on the south coast of Cornwall, sat between Porthleven and Marazion, and one of the busiest beach-and-holiday-let clusters in the county. Getting to Praa Sands — Route, Travel Time and Access
Praa Sands access is generally easy. The A394 is the main road in and out, and the lanes down to the beach are wide enough for a kit vehicle for most of the holiday properties. The cliff road that runs the length of the bay can be tight in places, but it's manageable with a bit of planning. Summer Saturdays add holiday traffic to the A394, so we build in extra arrival time from June to September. For very tight access at the beach end of the cliff road, we plan accordingly and bring the right-sized vehicle.
