Salt Wind Catering runs cook stations at music festivals, agricultural shows, village fetes and outdoor community events across Cornwall. We arrive with everything — ovens, grills, giant pans, gazebos and gas — set up, cook, serve and pack down without needing anything from site.
Hog roast rolls with apple sauce and crackling. Charcoal-grilled burgers and pulled pork. Giant-pan paella and sausage-and-mash. Street food options including loaded fries, halloumi wraps and vegan bean chilli. Everything served in biodegradable boxes.
Weatherproof as standard — our setup handles Cornish summer storms without drama. Multiple cook stations can run in parallel for larger festivals.

We cater festivals, fetes and outdoor events from around 100 guests upwards. For smaller community events a single cooking option (hog roast, BBQ or giant paella pan) works well. For larger festivals we can run multiple cooking stations in parallel.
We cook in our own gazebo with full wind-and-rain side panels — we have catered through everything Cornish weather can throw at us. For marquee-based festivals we set up inside. We never cancel for weather unless the event organiser does.
Everything. Charcoal BBQs, hog roast oven, giant paella pans, gas, propane, prep tables, gazebo with side panels, serving kit, power leads and the full cook team. All we need is a flat pitch with vehicle access and (where possible) nearby water.

For summer festivals (May–September) book 4–8 weeks ahead, longer for peak weekends. Bank holiday events fill up fast. Short-notice enquiries sometimes work out — call us on 01209 206255 and we will check availability.
There is no travel charge anywhere in Cornwall and no minimum spend — standard pricing everywhere, from Penzance to Bude. Devon is quoted separately: travel is included on orders over £1,500 (£500 for Plymouth and Tavistock), and below that it is £1 per mile round-trip from our Redruth kitchen, always confirmed in writing before you commit.
