A complete film unit base brings every off-camera need into one coordinated setup. Salt Wind Catering provides the crew catering and craft; JW Film Facilities provides honey wagons, green rooms, makeup and costume, dining, transport and power. Two specialists who already work together across Cornwall and Devon — booked once, contracted as two separate companies.
The challenge
A remote Cornwall location with no power, no kitchen and a narrow single-track approach — and a crew that still needs feeding, changing and a warm place to sit.

Three or four suppliers from up-country who have never met, each guessing at access, all arriving at once — and a unit manager refereeing instead of running the day.

JW runs smaller, greener vehicles made for narrow Cornish lanes and remote locations — including a compact honey wagon for close-to-set deployment where full-size up-country fleets cannot reach. Paired with Salt Wind Catering's self-contained mobile kitchen and local sourcing, it's a unit base that suits productions with sustainability targets.
