Unit catering is a travel-to-location business. From our Cornwall base the self-contained mobile kitchen reaches your unit base or studio anywhere within 300 road miles, the whole South West and Wales, the South Coast, London and the Home Counties studios, north to Birmingham, travel, and accommodation for multi-day shoots, agreed in writing up front.

Locations we have worked, and what each one asks for
Mountain & upland
Llyn y Fan Fach in the Brecon Beacons is the type case, a car park below a glacial lake and nothing else. Base at the road head, everything carried in, nothing left behind.
Clifftop & coast path
Exposed, often a long walk from the nearest vehicle access, and weather that changes the plan. Hot food goes out in insulated transit for the last stretch.
Remote beach
Tidal access windows dictate load-in and load-out, not the call sheet. We agree the timings with the location manager before the day rather than on it.
Moorland & common land
Free-roaming stock makes sealed waste a requirement rather than good manners. Base position is agreed with the landowner in advance.
Disused industrial
Old mine and works sites give great texture and no services whatsoever. Level ground for the kitchen and a safe vehicle route in are the only two things we need.
Where the road runs out
If the unit base sits back from the road head, we pitch where the vehicles can reach and run hot food the last stretch on foot.
What "self-contained" actually means
The mobile kitchen carries its own power, LPG, fresh water, refrigeration and waste containment. It does not need a mains hook-up, a standpipe, a venue kitchen or a hard floor. That is the whole reason a mountain car park is a workable unit base and not a problem to solve.
What we do need is a level pitch the vehicles can reach and whatever access the production has agreed with the landowner or the estate. Permissions, road closures and site agreements are the production’s to hold. We work to the access you have arranged, and we plan the base position with your location manager before the day rather than negotiating it on the morning.
Waste goes out with us. On common land and in national parks that is not a courtesy, it is the condition of being allowed back.
