Food for care homes in Cornwall
One order a week, on the same day every week: pasties by the box, fruit and veg, milk, butter and the tea trolley. Set it up once and we deliver it in our own chilled van.
The same order, every week
For the cook
You know what you get through in a week. Tell us once: so many pasties, a veg box, the milk and butter. It arrives on your chosen weekday without anyone having to reorder.
For the manager
One invoice a week, at the shop price that week, due on receipt. The allergens for every product are on its page before you order, so the kitchen file can be kept up to date.
When the week changes
More residents, a birthday tea, a quiet week: call or email and we change, pause or add to it. Each week's order is written 7 days ahead, so give us that much notice.
What goes on the weekly order
Any of these can go on a standing order, or be ordered in the shop on their own.
Pasties by the box
Steak, cheese and onion, and vegetable, by the dozen or two dozen, and a gluten free box.
Fruit and veg for the week
Veg boxes, fruit and veg boxes, fruit bowls and salad, in sizes to match how many you cook for.
Dairy and the tea trolley
Cornish milk and butter, tea and coffee for the trolley, and a gluten free cream tea for six.
Anything else in the shop can go on it too, apart from fish. Browse the shop
Vegan, vegetarian & gluten-free options available on request: info@saltwind.catering
Severe allergies: Our kitchen handles nuts, gluten and sesame daily. For severe nut, peanut, coeliac or sesame allergies we cannot guarantee a completely trace-free environment, so please tell us at enquiry stage. We will advise honestly, and we ask that the guest keeps any prescribed medication on hand.
How to set it up
1. Apply for an account
A short form: the home, who to invoice and roughly what you need each week.
2. Agree the order
We confirm the items, the weekday and where the van drops it, and set it going.
3. It comes every week
Same day, same van, an invoice each week. Change it whenever you need to.
Delivery
In our own chilled van from Redruth. Standing orders come Monday to Friday; there are no deliveries on bank holidays or from 24 December to 2 January.
