Fruit Platter Delivery Across Cornwall | Salt Wind Catering

Fruit Platter Delivery Across Cornwall | Salt Wind Catering

Fresh fruit platters delivered across Cornwall — sliced the morning of delivery from our Redruth kitchen and dropped to offices, holiday lets, meeting rooms and private addresses. Sizes from 8 to 25+ guests, disposables included, order by 4pm for next working day.

Fruit Platters That Actually Look Like Platters

A proper fruit platter isn't a punnet of grapes and three whole apples on a wooden board. It's pineapple cored and sliced into bite-sized chunks, melon balled or wedged, strawberries trimmed and halved, grapes off the stem, kiwi peeled and sliced. Grab-and-eat. No knives needed at the other end. That's what we deliver.

Everything is prepped on the morning of delivery in our 5-star FHR-rated kitchen on Fore Street, Redruth. Nothing cut the day before. If you've ever bought a supermarket fruit pot and watched it sweat — that's not what arrives.

Sizes & How Much to Order

Small platter: 8-10 guests. Medium: 12-15. Large: 18-25. Sharing-style tables for 30+ we build to order. Rule of thumb: if fruit is sitting alongside sandwiches or pastries for a meeting, size for the headcount. If fruit is the main event (breakfast, post-yoga, holiday-let welcome) go one size up — people eat more when it's the main thing on the table.

Pair fruit platters with next-day sandwich platters for a full working lunch drop in one delivery.

What's On Them

A standard mixed platter runs pineapple, two melon varieties (galia, watermelon or honeydew depending on what's looking good that week), red and green grapes off the stem, strawberries in season, blueberries, kiwi, apple and pear. Through summer we swap in mango, peaches, nectarines, figs. In winter we lean harder on citrus, tropical and good imported berries.

Tell us if you want anything left off — kiwi for allergies, melon for someone who hates it, no berries because of stains on a meeting-room table. We'll adjust without fuss.

Holiday-Let Drops

Welcome platters to holiday lets are a big part of what we do — Rock, Polzeath, Mawgan Porth, Carbis Bay, Roseland, Falmouth, the whole south coast. The logistics are usually: guests arriving from 4pm, fruit on the kitchen counter for when they walk in, ideally chilled. We can hand to the guest, drop with housekeeping during changeover, or use a key-safe code.

If the property has no fridge access at drop time, tell us and we'll plan around it — earlier delivery into a cool spot is fine, mid-afternoon into a hot conservatory is not. For full welcome-pack thinking see cream tea delivery Cornwall, which works on the same logic.

Offices & Meeting Rooms

For office drops, give us a time window ("between 9 and 10", "before midday"), reception or floor number, and a contact name. We'll do the rest. The platter arrives cling-wrapped, on a disposable board, with tongs and napkins. Lift the wrap, set it on the table, done. Nothing to return, nothing to wash up.

Standing orders for weekly board meetings, monthly all-hands or quarterly client days are straightforward — set it up once, we run it on repeat. See office lunch delivery for the full working-lunch offer.

Ordering & Lead Time

Order by 4pm the working day before for next-day delivery. For Friday drops, Thursday by 4pm. Larger orders or sharing tables need 48-72 hours so we can get the fruit volume in. Anything urgent, ring rather than email — same-day is sometimes doable if we already have a route running west or east.

Add sandwich platters for a full meeting drop, browse next-day buffet delivery for bigger groups, or scope a breakfast catering drop. Request a quote or call 01209 206255.
