Salt Wind Catering feeds film and TV crews across Buckinghamshire, from a single shoot day upwards — we do not require a multi-day block to take the job. The mobile kitchen is fully self-contained, carrying its own gas, generators, water and refrigeration, so a location with no mains and no hookup is a normal working day rather than a problem to solve.
Where a studio stage already has a house caterer in place, that is their day. Where we earn the job is the location half of a Buckinghamshire schedule — the estates, the woodland, the airfields and the sites with no facility — and the productions running multi-location shoots where the same cook team follows the unit rather than being re-tendered county by county.
Distance is priced honestly. Buckinghamshire is about 284 road miles from our kitchen, inside the radius we cover but far enough that travel and, on anything past a single day, crew accommodation go into the quote at the outset. Producers get a written figure the same day during office hours, and that figure is what appears on the invoice.

Stages, backlot and exterior tank at Iver Heath. Studio-yard bases sit on hardstanding with straightforward vehicle access. Where a house caterer holds the stage days, we are usually the better fit for the location half of the schedule.

Black Park & Langley Park
Country parkland beside Pinewood, used as an exterior location for decades. Vehicle access is governed by the park authority; we base where it allows and carry hot food to unit.

Stowe & the landscape gardens
National Trust parkland with long approaches and protected ground. A compact base and a load-in agreed in advance.

Waddesdon Manor & Hughenden
Waddesdon is National Trust-owned but run by the Rothschild Foundation; Hughenden is National Trust. Different people to agree a base position with, so we settle that with the estate before anything else and run hot food in from there.

Huts, halls and hardstanding with good access — an easy full unit base with live cooking on site.

Beech woodland and steep narrow lanes north-west of Amersham. Limited parking, so a small base footprint and the last stretch carried in on foot.

Yes. Salt Wind Catering brings the full mobile kitchen and cook team to Buckinghamshire. We travel from our Cornwall base and travel is confirmed in writing before you commit.
Yes. We take a single shoot day as readily as a full schedule — there is no multi-day block requirement. A full day is £30 +VAT per head, billed on the call sheet’s actual headcount rather than a flat average.
